NYCU Tuesday, February 27, 2018 February 27, 2018 Public Health 0 TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2018 PHYSICIANS: As promised, we continue to monitor the situation with Employee Health Systems (EHS) Medical Group Inc. CMA continues to work with the health plans to make sure that all claims for services that were authorized by EHS but performed after the termination date are still honored. If you are having issues with continuity of care requirements or are experiencing any other problems with EHS you can find resources to aid you here. There will also be an article with additional information on the EHS situation in March's San Diego Physician magazine. I am pleased to convey the news that due to overwhelming opposition from organized medicine, Anthem has announced that it will not proceed with its policy to reduce payments E&M services with Modifier 25. CMA worked fast and aggressively along with other organization to push back on the proposed change. Anthem has now committed to work with us to address physician concerns with other policies and guidelines. As always, let me know if you have any questions!
