A 7 to 10–day supply is considered ample. SDBB is asking for individuals and groups to donate at one of their 8 donation locations or at an existing mobile drive as soon as possible. There is a very rewarding program for mentoring UCSD undergrads who want to pursue medicine as a career. The program is now called HPMP — Health Professions Mentoring Program. This program was robust until the pandemic. They are looking to rebuild their mentoring network and have students shadow physicians, PAs, PTs etc. We would encourage any doctor or medical professional to sign up to be a mentor, even if it is to take on one student for a shadowing experience. You can sign up on their website: https://hmp3hpmp.ucsd.edu/apply.php. You can also email Anita Mohajeri or Akshay Bharadwaj, the current co–chairs of the prorgram through hmp3hpmp@ucsd.edu. We hope you’ll consider participating in this worthwhile program. A final reminder that the CalVax Grant deadline has been extended until September 10th at 11:59 PM.
