San Diego County Medical Society

TUESDAY, JANUARY 26, 2021

Paul HegyiPHYSICIANS: Champions for Health is the San Diego County Medical Society's charitable organization committed to helping medically underserved communities.

In partnership with the County of San Diego Health & Human Services, Champions for Health will be administering COVID–19 vaccinations to individuals in the first phase of vaccinations, concentrating on hard–to–reach, high–risk communities, including senior nursing facilities and long–term residential facilities. Champions for Health is seeking physician volunteer vaccinators to assist with the immunizations.

Volunteer shifts for vaccination events range from one hour to eight hours depending on the event. You decide how long a shift you can work when you decide which event to sign up for as a volunteer. Note that all vaccinators will need to review training slides (takes approximately 20 minutes which will be sent to you before an event) and complete a post–test (which takes around 5 minutes and will also be sent to you). There will then be training on the day of the event you sign up for as part of your shift.

Please fill out a Volunteer Interest Form if you are interested!

A reminder that there will be another Clinical Town Hall tomorrow evening, January 27th, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. For more details on the physicians leading this helpful webinar, please see the graphic below.

As always, let me know if you have any questions! Paul Hegyi, CEO
