PHYSICIANS: There is an important development in San Diego County's effort to reduce death and severe illness from COVID–19. The County is now allowing all COVID–positive patients who are 65 years of age or older to self–refer to receive monoclonal antibody treatment at the Monoclonal Antibody Regional Center (MARC) at Palomar Hospital in Escondido. As you know, these treatments are key to preventing those with COVID–19 from becoming severely ill but not enough people are using this life–saving resource. Palomar can handle up to 20 patients at one time and is running 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm. Please encourage your patients who are 65+ and COVID–positive to participate in the MARC program.

Physicians can help fight misinformation and encourage our community to get vaccinated. Follow the hashtag and retweet/repost to amplify the message around California and the rest of the country.
