Paul HegyiPHYSICIANS: The Medical Board of California Expert Reviewer Program is reaching out for assistance in recruiting qualified Board expert reviewers.

The Board established its Expert Reviewer Program in July 1994 as an impartial and professional means to support its investigation and enforcement functions. Experts assist the Board by providing reviews and opinions on Board cases and conducting physical and mental evaluations. Physicians residing in California, who have full–time active practices in California and meet the minimum requirements, are encouraged to apply to be an expert for the Board. For more information please visit their website HERE or contact them via email at MBCMedicalExpertProgram@mbc.ca.gov.

Scripps Research Translational Institute (SRTI) offers a Student Research Internship Program for highly motivated high school, undergraduate, graduate and professional students. Interns will work with and learn from a multi–disciplinary team of scientists, who include internationally–renowned investigators in the area of genomics, bioinformatics, digital medicine, and community engagement. The primary aim of the internship program is to train and prepare students interested in health sciences, statistics, and computational/computer science to become future leaders in the realm of translational medical research.

The program is hoping to boost applications from under–represented and marginalized backgrounds so that they have the most diverse pool of applicants to draw from. Applications are due March 25th and you can learn more at Scripps.edu. Please share with your friends and any students you think would be interested. If you have any questions please contact Dr. Lase Ajayi at laseajayi@gmail.com.
