Physicians must be knowledgeable regarding how to avoid being reported to the Medical Board. They must also understand the Medical Board’s role and responsibilities for physician oversight; including reviewing and investigating complaints, issuing sanctions, and imposing disciplinary action when a physician violates licensure and statutory regulations. The San Diego County Medical Society (SDCMS) in partnership with The Doctors Company (TDC) invite you to attend an important and timely webinar ‘How to Avoid Being Reported to the Medical Board’ to help address these concerns. Join us for this FREE event on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 6—7:30pm. All are welcome, members and non–members, and attendees will also earn 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 CME credits upon conclusion. RSVPs are required, so please register now. Are you ready for California’s electronic prescribing mandate? In 2018, the California Legislature passed a law (AB 2789) that created a state–level mandate that all prescriptions must be transmitted electronically by January 1, 2022. The law applies to all physicians and almost all prescriptions, with very few exceptions. The California Medical Association put together a webinar which is available for on–demand viewing at CMADocs.org/webinars. It’s free for members and $99 for non–members. Finally, this is the final NYCU before Christmas and New Year's so on behalf of the San Diego County Medical Society, I wish you and yours Happy Holidays. After such a challenging — but also hopeful year — the time we spend with our loved ones and the celebration of Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa and New Year’s Day have particular meaning for so many of us. May we all share together in a healthier and happier year in 2022! As always, let me know if you have any questions!
