MICRA Lawsuit Measure Will Be on the November Ballot If this deceptive and hastily thrown together measure (which has not yet been assigned a number, but is formally qualified) passes, it will drive up healthcare costs, threaten patient privacy, and force community clinics across the state to reduce or eliminate services to the populations that need them the most. We must stand together to defeat this measure so that California will not be saddled with the consequences for years to come, all because trial lawyers who stand to gain from malpractice lawsuits carelessly threw together an initiative without regard for the public’s privacy or healthcare. This will be an expensive fight. CMA has contributed, in cash, $5 million. If you are a nonmember, please click here to join. If you are a member, thank you, and consider an additional contribution of $150, $500 or $1,000 to CALPAC today!
