NYCU January 4, 2019 January 4, 2019 General, Leadership, Medicare, Prescription Drug Abuse, Public Health, SDCMS 0 FRIDAY, JANUARY 4, 2019 PHYSICIANS: Many of you have received notice from the Medical Board about new security requirements for prescription pads, effectively invalidating existing pads. While these regulations are in keeping with recently passed AB 1753, implementation guidance was only recently issued, creating limited access to these new pads. CMA reached out to the Department of Justice and Medical Board on December 21st requesting a transition period to protect continuity of care and allow prescribers to acquire new materials when needed. CMA's security prescription partner, RxSecurity, is now taking orders for the new uniquely serialized prescription forms. You can read more about CMA's advocacy if you CLICK HERE.
