  TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 12, 2024 PHYSICIANS: Last week was Election Day, and while ballots are still being counted, California patients, physicians and other health care workers had a VERY successful day! Proposition 35, the top advocacy priority for both California Medical Association and San Diego County Medical Society, won an overwhelming victory with 67.5 percent of the statewide vote at last count. For the fifth straight year, physicians are facing a Medicare payment cut unless Congress intervenes. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released the 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule, which includes yet another 2.8% cut to physician Medicare payments on January 1, 2025.
